Come and try some good exercises to build up strength and flexibility in your hands, afterwards we will try playing some Cornish music for harp – no need to be able to read music as these pieces will be taught by ear – beginners welcome!

Sarah and Phil will be performing some dazzling fast traditional dance tunes, haunting songs, hilarious jazz numbers and some of Sarah’s own compositions for harp – come and take this rare chance to see one of the best lever harpists from UK- BBQ afterwards!
Sarah Deere-Jones – harp and voice, with Phil Williams guitar/gazuki Sarah Deere-Jones has become known as one of the finest lever harpists in the UK with her dazzling playing and haunting arrangements of all genres of music for the instrument from medieval, traditional through to jazz. With Phil Williams on guitar and gazuki she has performed at venues throughout the UK and America and on radio and TV, and their recordings have been broadcast all over the world. Sarah and Phil originated from two entirely different musical worlds, Sarah having been classically trained and Phil a self-taught folk musician, which gives their music a unique blend of technical wizardry and honest authenticity, and their relaxed and friendly concerts that flow with sparkling instrumentals and gripping songs to hilarious jazz numbers, are joyfully gift wrapped with a generous helping of dry humour.
