In 2014, the World Harp Congress will be held in Sydney from July 20 – 26.
The Congress will be held right in the heart of Sydney, where old and new meet and intermingle, in Congress venues which combine a relaxed learning environment with sophisticated exhibition areas; you will hear concerts in venues from the iconic Sydney Opera House Concert Hall to the beautiful Colonial Sydney Town Hall, from splendid St Mary’s Cathedral to the superb acoustics of City Recital Hall Angel Place, and choose from an array of famous jazz night spots.
Alongside the regular Congress Concert highlights, Master Classes, and Youth programs, we are planning to provide an added focus on active participation for all levels of harpist, a stream for presentation of academic papers, interaction between harp makers and performers, networking facilitation, and of course a highlight on music from our own composers and performers.
